ROMANTIC COUNTRIES
St. Valentine’s Day is truly called the Day of all loving
people. So, why don’t we visit two of the most romantic countries-
Italy and France. The first one is the birth place of the holiday and
the second is the heart of Love Charms.
FRANCE
France cannot help attracting tourists. It’s a centre of
European fashion and culture. The variety of castles, palaces,
churches, museums, beaches gives a chance to discover your own France
and spend your holidays according to your tastes or tastes of your
companion.
Of course, the most interesting things you may find in the capital
of the country- Paris. The tour around the city should begin from the
sobering monument- the Arc de Triomphe. The passage through
this arc will lead you down Champs- Elysees and the Eifel
Tower. A lot of Partisans believe the tower to be tasteless but
without it Paris would not be Paris. Passing the Champs-Elysees
and Tuileries Gardens you reach the splendid Louvre. It
represents both history and the present-day. Its priceless
collections of art are the window to the past. And yet to enter the
Louvre you must walk past a striking glass pyramid, a modern
vision of art. Next to the museum there is the famed Ritz Hotel
surrounded by the most expensive jewelers and bankers in the city.
Well, if you are in Paris why not to please your girlfriend and have
a look at window shops of famous fashion designers. The newest and
the youngest, like Prada, Chloe, Yamamote and cardinals in the
business, such as Chanel, Pierre Cardin, Christian Dior, Christian
Lacroix, Gucci, Valentino, Versace and Givenchy.
Don’t forget to visit Notre Dame Cathedral where the
coronation of Napoleon took place. Enjoy the performance in the
Ballet de L’Opera directed by star dancer Patrick Dupond (there
is no better place to experience the art of dance). Don’t miss a
river excursion- a river tram with a glass roof carries passengers
down the current of the Seine passing the Eifel Tower, St. Louie
Island, the Louvre and Notre Dame Cathedral.
When leaving Paris be sure to buy a small can with words “L’air
de Paris’. These cans are, of course, empty, but we know that
inside of them there must be a part of the atmosphere of Paris. It is
not necessary to open them – It is better to visit Paris again.
32 km far from Paris there is a place interesting for both teens and
their parents-Disneyland. It is the real tourism centre with
hotels, different entertainments, restaurants, souvenir shops,
concerts and performances. The park is open from 9:00 or 10:00 till
20:00 or 23:00 according to the season. You can find there fields for
golf, tennis courts and football school for children Manchester
United.
There is FASTPASS ticket which gives you a right of entering the
attraction at fixed time without standing in lines.

ITALY
Italy is a classical tourism country, extremely popular all
over the world. Ancient beautiful cities with their unforgettable
monuments and art treasures, propitious climate and magnificent
nature of the country brought it fame. Here you can have a rest for
different tastes.
Classical (or ancient) Italy basically includes four eras:
prehistoric, Etruscan, Greek and Roman. A few of these sights-
Pompeii, the Coliseum, and the Roman Forum- are very famous. Others
are equally illustrious, fascinating and educational, but not quite
as well known. Those are the ones we’ve concentrated on in our
roadmap to classical Italy.
Pisa is one of the most interesting cities in Italy. Miracles
Square is the best
Witness of the Italian Golden Age. The green lawn covers the sentral
square in Pisa and keeps the secrets of three main builders of the
city. The Leaning Tower of Pisa, built in 1173, makes the architects
nope to stop the process of failing- it’s defection puts together 5
metres. The main cathedral- Duomo- was built in 1063 and decorated
with the masterpieces of Giovanni Pizzano. Campo Santo Vecchio is
another sight in Miracles Square. It is known for it’s frescoes and
mosaics dating 1277.
Roma. Of course the Eternal City is on everyone’s To Do
List. For first-time visitors, we remind you not to miss the
newly-renovated Coliseum, the Roman Forum, St. Peter’s, the
Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, Plazza Navona, the Borghese
Gallery, and the outdoor market at Campo de’Fiori. Save
some time for designer shopping at the Spanish Steps, and don’t
forget to toss your coin into Trevi Fountain.
Haven’y you heard about Venice? Well, it is a fascinating place of
tiny streets, elaborate buildings and flowering balconies called
altiane. Unless you are planning to stay in this most unique
city, the best way to see its many secret corners and magical views
is from the canals, in your own private water taxi.
Include such cities to your travel list:
Verona, home to Romeo and Juliet, one of the prettiest and
most historical little cities in the while country.
Vicenza, the memorable “Laboratory” for a man who may have
been the most influential architect in history. Andrea Palladio, a
mini-Venice with all the canals and none of the crowds. Lake Garda,
with the snowy Alps reflected in its silvery waters. Teensy
Marostica, where you can watch a human chess game whose living
pieces wear Renaissance costumes. Cortina d’Ampezzo, one of
Europe’s classiest ski resorts.
